Welcome to Thunder Rock Bull Breeds Over the last 35 years I have been very fortunate to have been involved in dog's, firstly through my parent's, my father's side being well known for they're exploits as poacher's and on my mother's side all being keeper's, underkeeper's or bailiff's. I myself have been lucky in that I have worked with some of the finest hunt's and some of the finest terrier and lurcher men around.Over the year's along with terrier's and lurchers i've had a passion for the bull breeds, mainly the old style of English bull, but sadly over the last few decade's with the craze of show breeding, for looks, coat colour and exageration's trying to make the dog's stand out against their competitor's, sadly the breed has lost all the characteristics, athleticism and intelligence it was once reveared for. Over 15 years ago I set out to try and return the bull terrier back into the dog it once was, a true "Hinks style" bull terrier. I have produced a dog along the old style, producing a dog without exagerated heads, massive bone and excessive weight. I have produced dogs with strong heads but still retained the down face, they have good quality of bone, suppleness and flexability without any problems with their joints . I have willingly sacrificed mass and weight for quality, conditioning and speed. My dogs are 19" to 21" at the shoulder with bitches hitting 18" to 20". Both sex's being intelligent and out going. They are of good even temperament eager to learn and please. I have maintained the characteristics of the old sporting bull terrier breeding for drive and performance, not aggression, a family dog that love's to be kept fit and active, they are a "people loving dog, for dog loving people". "Buy a fit one not a fat one " !
